Who are they?\t\t<\/h2>\t\t<div class=\"sep\"><\/div>\t\n<div class=\"row \"><div class=\"wpv-grid grid-1-1  wpv-first-level first unextended\" style=\"padding-top:0px;padding-bottom:0px\" id=\"wpv-column-ae2d8291f2b114e43f37946b54e12e5b\" ><p class=\"art-postcontent\" dir=\"ltr\">A Parent Coordinator (PC) is usually a licensed mental health professional or an attorney assigned by the courts to manage ongoing issues in high-conflict parenting cases. The PC\u2019s decisions then become court-ordered. We are also frequently seeing parents voluntarily engage a PC to help them with their conflicts around their children. The parents agree to abide by the decisions made by the PC.<\/p>\n<p class=\"art-postcontent\" dir=\"ltr\">Some of the issues where a PC may be of help:<\/p>\n<p class=\"art-postcontent\" dir=\"ltr\">\u2022In cases of\u00a0 very high conflict, a PC will structure communication between the parents to ensure that it is businesslike and respectful or assist the parents in other ways to relate information about the children to each other.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022The PC will establish protocols for how the parents will be approaching specific situations to minimize the possibility of ongoing conflict between them.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022The PC will educate parents about the impact of high conflict on the children.<\/p>\n<p>To read more, see <a
